Carmel Apples
One of my favorite fall treats are carmel apples. This year at our halloween party I think we are going to do a variation of a "Make your own Sundae Bar" with a "Make your own Carmel Apple Bar" I plan to have the carmel melted and ready to go so the kids can dip their own apples - then have a supply of sprinkles, crushed candy bars, chopped nuts, and chocolate syrup so each kid can decorate and top their own apples. I think that sounds like a lot of messy fun!
At Country Living - they have some fantastic carmel apples recipes if you'd like to make some of your own including Pistachio Chocolate Apples, Carmel Candied Apples and even good old Traditional Carmel Apples!

Eddie Ross Decorating Projects
I really love Eddie Ross' website and projects. He has some really unique and FAB-U-LOUS ideas for Halloween this year!
First, I love this simple little "Batkin" ring - so easy to make and they look wonderful!

Frankencake!
Maybe you think this should go in This Woman's Touch category, but hey, it's my blog and I'll put stuff where I want to - and think about it! SIX LAYERS!!!!! HOLY MOSES! SIX!
This is monster of a cake, and it will feed an angry, torch wielding mob with ease. It might seem like a lot of work - but think about poor Dr. Frankenstein and all the work he had to do to make HIS monster, and it's not like we've asked you to go dig up any parts for this one!

Where Monsters Dwell
Here's the cover of an old comic book I have from my childhood. The story isn't as good as this cover suggests. It's a bit of reworking of the "The Day the Earth Stood Still" I really like the cover though. (click for a full size view)
