This computer appears to have been designed specifically for me. The color even matches my house. I don't know why it hasn't arrived in the mail yet. Maybe the creator hasn't realized that it's mine. :)

Vincent

Have you already seen this? Am I just behind the times because I hadn't and I was really amazed by it - a photograph of Vincent VanGogh! Wow.

This was found with the following information:

Vincent van Gogh

It is proven that this photograph is of Vincent van Gogh. It is thought that it is the photograph he painted his self portraits from. The information on the mount of this ca1886, 4 1/2" X 5 1/2", photograph identifies the artist as Victor Morin, 42 RUE ST. FRANCOIS, ST HYACINTHE. IF you have any information about Victor Morin and his travels please forward it to the link below. Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.  contact info@vangoghfoto.com

I adore Vincent Van Gogh's work so I was really amazed to see an actual photo of him. it really does look like his self portraits.

Light

Maybe it's the weather, maybe it's the post-Halloween sugar crash . . . but the past couple of days I've been feeling rather down.  I think for people who live in the Northern hemisphere, fall is a time when we begin to gather ourselves in. It's a time when we become a bit introspective - reflecting upon the our lives, and storing up our thoughts to make a lovely simmering stew.

Thanksgving also encourages introspection - making a list of all the things we're greatful for.  I realize it's usually the very small moments that I'm most thankful for.  I remember driving one time in my car and the sun was shining and in that moment, everything seemed okay. Those are the moments I'm thankful for. The few seconds when the sun was just right and I could feel God smiling on me.

November

Goodbye to October, hello to November. So I'm dismantling all the Halloween decorations today. It's always kind of a sad, let down feeling to take everything down and pack it away for next year.  I guess it's time to start planning for Thanksgiving . . .

The trees outside my window are almost completely bare right now. The ground is covered with the leaves. I love how it looks. The other night as my nephew and I headed out to the chicken coop to put the chickens in for the night I said, "I love how the leaves look like fallen stars or confetti everywhere." And Nathaniel looked glum and said, "I don't, I have to rake them."

Wow, what a great Halloween it's been! I kind of crapped out on the countdown for the last couple of days, my apologies for that - but I was busy cleaning and decorating and making treats - doing the real work of Halloween! How did yours go?
