I have a new kit at Sugar Moon . . . it's a bit more elegant take on Christmas, and it's called Christmas by Candlelight.

It got all the rich browns and deep reds of chestnuts roasting on an open fire - and perfect for those holiday parties, family photos, and other engagements that call for a bit more elegance than Rudolph or Frosty.
It also comes with a complete alpha - so you have everything you need! Put on some Nat King Cole and make some fabulous layouts!
I'll be posting some sample layouts later - or if you make some feel free to post them in the DID gallery!

Here's a great sweet potoato recipe that you might like to try - especially since Thanksgiving is fast approaching! I got the recipe from Taste of Home and it is delicious!

INGREDIENTS
3 cups thinly sliced tart apples (about 3
large)
1 teaspoon lemon juice
3 pounds sweet potatoes (about 5
medium), peeled and thinly sliced
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 tablespoon butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 cup soft bread crumbs
2 teaspoons olive oil
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon cider vinegar
DIRECTIONS
Place apples in a large bowl; sprinkle with lemon juice. Add the sweet potatoes,
syrup, butter, salt and pepper; toss to coat.
Transfer to a 3-qt. baking dish coated with cooking spray. Bake, uncovered, at
400° for 35-40 minutes or until apples are tender, stirring once.
In a small bowl, combine the bread crumbs, oil, cinnamon, nutmeg and
vinegar; sprinkle over potato mixture. Bake 10-15 minutes longer or until topping
is golden brown.
Wow - we had a great time as one of Snickers' Coolest Houses on the Block! They provided their new Peanut Butter Squared Candies to give away to trick or treaters AND lots of cool Halloween decorations - including a fog machine and strobe light! Needless to say - our yard attracted some attention! (we live in a small town - so of course any little thing stirs up lots of conversations!!!) If you want to try out some products follow this link!

Okay back to Halloween! David did a great job highlighting the sign that Snickers sent us.
It all starts out so innocently!

but slowly sun sets and shadows creep across the haunted landscape, and ghostly fog envelopes the horrible scene. Even the maniacal glow of the jack-o-lanterns in the window can't brighten things up . . .

Finally inky blackness settles in for the night! Beware of goblins and ghouls lurking about!

Poor Frankie - he just wouldn't listen!

This seemed like such a nice group to come calling . . . but we haven't seen them since . . .

Here's hoping you had a wonderful Halloween - and many thanks to Snickers for making ours so memorable!!! Everyone loved the new treats!
