I'm excited to be participating in this year's American Digi Scrapping Race. This race is based on the "Great Race" reality show, but in this contest teams of digital artists work their way from digital scrapbook site to digital scrapbook site across the internet, completing challenges! There is a total of 2 challenges a week for 7 weeks. I'm nervous and excited at the same time. I'll try to post layouts and keep you up to date on my team's progress. I've teamed up with a great scrapper from Enchanted Studio Scraps named Bren. Our team is the "Pixie Partners" what else!
The race begins this Sunday! Maybe I'll see some of you there! Wish us luck!
Do you sometimes get in a rut with your scrapping? Or maybe you just feel like doing something different, could it be that you've never really digi scrapped at all?! Well here's something that you might like to try . . . it's called Creative Artworks and it's a challenge over at Enchanted Studio Scraps. This challenge was introduced to me by Circle of Life Studio - a designer at ESS. She has a wonderful post in the ESS forum that gives an in-depth explanation of Creative Artworks, which is similar to ATC, or Artist Trading Cards. These cards can be created using mixed media - paint, fabrics, macaroni noodles or even digital scrapbook kits.
Using this form of expression can really free up your creativity - and maybe have you looking at your scrapping layouts in a new way! The Creative Artworks challenge going on now involves creating ATCs or working on a digital journal - the ATCs usually follow a specific size, but the journal can be whatever size you have or want to create.
I whole heartedly recommend checking the challenge out! It's a lot of fun and there's no wrong way to do it. if you've never scrapped before this might be a great way to jump in and learn. Amanda at Circle of Life Studio is very helpful and encouraging, so there's no reason to feel intimidated by this! Please stop by and join in!!

It's been KRAZY busy around here! I think we've all got a touch of some spring fever! How about you? They say March is "in like a lion and out like a lamb" and so far it's been true!
