Saturday Gabby and I went out to take some photos for her senion pictures. The day was gorgeous - the light was beautiful and we found some really lovely places to photograph. I can't show you the final photos but I'll give you some hints . . .

Last night David made his special tincture . . . it's blend of jalapenos, cayenne pepper and vodka - you let the mixture set for about thirty day, shaking regularly - then you strain the pulp from the juice and voila! Tincture!

Gabby's school had Homecoming this past weekend, here's a shot of her and her friend getting ready to go to the Homecoming Dance.

This year I bought my little niece a packet of giant pumpkin seeds. I thought she would take them home and  plant them. No, her and her dad planted them in his backyard - which adjoins our backyard .  In their little patch we also threw in some regular pumpkin seeds, cantaloupe and watermelon seeds. The vines went absolutely crazy! Next year, I think we should be a little more organized about it, but we did manage to grow one giant pumpkin. When we finally picked it we discovered that it weighs 70 lbs! (I kept telling him to lift with his legs, but you know how brothers are!)

It's almost big enough for my niece to crawl into! Here are her and her dad showing off their pumpkins.

Gabby got a haircut and highlights. The photos don't show the color very well, but it's really pretty. She hadn't planned to get it cut so short, but the woman cut it while it was wet and I guess didn't realize that curly hair shortens up when it's dry. When she came home from the appointment she was afraid to tell me how short it was, but it's cute. And so is she! [More]
