I'm excited to be participating in this year's American Digi Scrapping Race. This race is based on the "Great Race" reality show, but in this contest teams of digital artists work their way from digital scrapbook site to digital scrapbook site across the internet, completing challenges! There is a total of 2 challenges a week for 7 weeks. I'm nervous and excited at the same time. I'll try to post layouts and keep you up to date on my team's progress. I've teamed up with a great scrapper from Enchanted Studio Scraps named Bren. Our team is the "Pixie Partners" what else!
The race begins this Sunday! Maybe I'll see some of you there! Wish us luck!

Around February I usually start getting antsy for some sunshine and some colors. I'm tired of the bleak landscapes of winter and I'm craving something a little warmer and brighter, so this color palette popped into my head . . . and it kind of reminded me of something I would see on some 70s wallpaper . . . which made me think of cozy kitchens . . . and then I wanted some french toast . . . and voila! Breakfast in Bed was created!
It' a really versatile kit that could be used for any number of layouts! It comes with 15 12x12" papers, 30 decorative elements, and one alpha. Every Wednesday evening (9:00 p.m. est/8:00 p.m. cst) Designs in Digital has a speed scrap. It's a great way to get a layout done, and chat with other scrappers. Anyone can stop by and join in! If you don't feel like chatting, you can also do the speed scrap by following along in the forum, and then just post your layout to the Designs in Digital Gallery. The speed scraps usually last about an hour and everyone is very nice! You'll have a great time!
If you've never been, you just show up, maybe have a few photos and some layout supplies ready and your photo editing program open. About every 10-15 minutes, the host will post a set of instructions for your layout. There's usually around seven total instructions, and by the time it's over you'll have a layout done. If you don't get it done right away, no problem, the Designs in Digital Speed Scraps have a deadline of noon est the next day - that takes some of the pressure off!
