Last Designs in Digital Kit

Here is the last kit I created for the NDIDDS Contest. Sorry I'm posting this so late, but wow! Last week was Busy wasn't it? Between the contest, and Easter, and everything else! Crazy Good! So anyway, you can head over to the Designs in Digital website and download a free copy of this kit, as well as the other designer's kits. It was such a fun contest and I learned SO MUCH! If you are at all interested in digital scrapbooking I highly recommend this site and especially trying your hand in the contest next year!

New Designs In Digital Mini Kit

Here is my new kit for the Designs in Digital Contest. This week we were asked to create a "masculine" kit. My inspiration was Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack. This was the palette I chose to work from

Here is a preview of the kit. It contains 6 12x12" papers, (three patterned and three solids), one complete alpha set, and 12 scrapbook elements. You can download the mini-kit, as well as other designers kits from the Designs In Digital website. Click on the preview to go to the download page.

Here is a layout I did with the kit. I used a photo of David on our wedding day because he really looks the part in his zoot suit! I hope you can find something fun to do with the kit!

100 Years of Movie Monsters Marathon

Oh wow, I forgot to tell you about a really cool event that's going on this weekend! There is going to be a Monster Movie Marathon all weekend long - ONLINE - it's the first time, I think that something like this has been attempted, and I'm so excited to watch some really cool, cheesy or just plain scary monster movies!

The marathon webcast starts at 5:00 p.m. EST - so it's about time to get your supplies ready and head over to the 100 Years of Monster Movies website to watch!

George Romero, Elvira and a whole bunch of others are going to be participating and introducing movies! I'm so excited about this - can you tell!

So anyway, I'm going to be busy this weekend getting my monster movie fix! Hopefully you will be too! Have fun!

When I woke up this morning, there was a small group of deer out in the garden trying to find some breakfast. I grabbed our little *coughcrappycough* digital camera and tried to get a shot of it. To be fair, I am shooting into the rising sun, through a window and a screen, and I'm trying to be quick before they notice me and run away. I think even Ansel Adams would find that a bit of a challenge.

Poor things - I know there's not much to eat out in that dried up garden!

Then about lunch time I see they are back in the neighbor's yard trying to find some lunch. I'm ready to make them some sandwiches and take them outside. Do you think deer like peanut butter and jelly? That's about all I have because I have to go grocery shopping tonight.

Now I'm trying to photograph all this at a distance. Hoo Boy - this looks pretty bad! You can't tell, but there's like about 6 deer out there. Another neighbor we have keeps a deer feeder, but I'm guessing it needs to be refilled. The deer are running through our back orchard all the time. Each time I see them though I get excited. It doesn't get old. They're so much bigger up close then you expect them to be (some of you know because they've jumped out in front of your vehicle)!

So if you're feeling bad today, be happy you're not a deer looking for lunch!

This computer appears to have been designed specifically for me. The color even matches my house. I don't know why it hasn't arrived in the mail yet. Maybe the creator hasn't realized that it's mine.

It was designed by Thomas Thomassen for a final college project. I love it. I hope he got an A on it.
