Well it's been awhile since I've updated this blog - yes, I feel badly about that, but what can you do except move forward right? There's been bad news and good news - so let's get the bad news out of the way and move on from there! First, in case you don't already know, Enchanted Studio Scraps has closed it's doors for good. This displaced a lot of designers, including Sugar Moon Designs - but never fear! The good news is Sugar Moon has found a new digital home and I can't wait for you to stop by and visit! The new place will be located at Divine Digital - it's a large cheerful store and we are excited about what the future holds!
Since I've just found this new home, of course the place is a wreck and I have some moving and unpacking still to do. It will be a few days before I've settled in and things feel like home again. I will be having a huge grand opening sale as soon as everything is ready to go and you will be the first to know when it's all done and ready to go!!! I just can't wait!

It's been KRAZY busy around here! I think we've all got a touch of some spring fever! How about you? They say March is "in like a lion and out like a lamb" and so far it's been true! The weather is so unpredictable - it's warm and sunny one day, then cold and rainy or, dare I say, snowy the next! It's no wonder we've all got another round of coughing and scratchy throats! I'm eating Zicam like nobody's business and drinking Emergen-C trying to stay on top of it . . . fingers crossed!

I am so excited about a new shop that I'm part of! It's called "Scrapping Artistry" and it's newly opened at Enchanted Studio Scraps. My partner is Missy's Bits and we are going to offer collab kits! Missy and I have similar styles so this partnership was a match made in Heaven!
Right now in the store we have our first collab - Mad Hatter Tea Party. It's a colorful and whimsical kit - absolutely jammed packed with papers, embellishments, alpha and inspiration!

But anyway, I'm just going to try to take the positive out of the situation, and hope all of you have some love in your life. You know I care, right?! This past November I participated in an event called "Scrappers Give Thanks!" This is what it does in it's own words, "Scrappers Give Thanks is a charitable project of the scrapbooking community taking place annually in the month prior to Thanksgiving. Participants complete an action-oriented challenge in service to each year’s cause and are eligible to win prizes in a Thanksgiving Day giveaway. In 2010, the Scrappers Give Thanks project will deliver messages of hope and laughter to children in hospitals."
To participate you were asked to " create a 4×6 scrapbook-style mini artwork containing a message of hope, joy or laughter for a school-age child and submit it by November 24, 2010. All formats – digital, paper and hybrid – are encouraged and accepted." It's a fun event to participate in, it's a great cause and that's all I was really concerned about. They had a goal of creating 2000 cards - and I know they were over that amount, so I know they had a lot of participation, so I was delightfully surprised when I actually won a prize!! There were tons of incredible artwork that was submitted - some you can check out in their flickr group.

Then I recently received an email and I won a free online class from Renee Pearson - and wow I am so excited! I had the choice of what class I would like to take, and I'm going to take the Illustrator 2 class with Laura Coyle . . . yay! Can't wait to learn some new techniques and concepts! The class begins in February so I'll try to show you some stuff that I get done during the class . . .

Well, here we are in the year 2011 - how has it been going for you so far? I'm not too sad to see 2010 make it's exit, December especially was a rough month for us. There was so much illness - seriously I was sick all month long with one thing after another - YUCK! Glad that's over and now I'm on to better things!
First - oh wow! A new store for Sugar Moon Designs! I'm sooo excited. My new shop is at Enchanted Studio Scraps. It's such a cool place and there are so many fantastic designers there - I know I'm just going to be so inspired and learn so much!!! I just opened the shop so you'll notice that my inventory is a little down, but have no fear I'm slowly repackaging everything and getting it up and ready to go! I also fell behind with creating new kits when I was so sick, so I can't wait to get back on track and get some new stuff out for you!! I have a kit in progress now that I think is going to be pretty cheerful and bright - perfect for a happy new year! I've also reworked a couple of the "old" kits - I've got a new alpha in "Summer Camp" for instance, so you'll have to check them all out. I have so many great ideas for the coming year - I just wish I had as much physical energy as I have mental energy - or maybe a whole team of clones who could keep working for me in shifts round the clock!
