Hot Pepper Tincture

My husband makes a tincture of jalapenos, habaneros, garlic, ginger and cayenne pepper . . . oh and the vodka.  It sets from the new moon until the full moon (shake daily)  then you strain off the mush and you end up with a very HOT pepper tincture.  He does shots of it for health reasons – and he’s always bugging me to do them too. It’s supposed to help you increase your circulation and various other good things, but sometimes I think it’s some kind of joke he saw on “Jackass” and he just thinks it’s funny if we drink this ungodly concoction. I can’t really describe the intense burning sensation you get from drinking it, but I think it’s where the term “firewater” came from.

Although, it does look lovely in the jars . . .

How does he press it out and what does he do with the leftover peppers and such?
