November

Goodbye to October, hello to November. So I’m dismantling all the Halloween decorations today. It’s always kind of a sad, let down feeling to take everything down and pack it away for next year.  I guess it’s time to start planning for Thanksgiving . . .

The trees outside my window are almost completely bare right now. The ground is covered with the leaves. I love how it looks. The other night as my nephew and I headed out to the chicken coop to put the chickens in for the night I said, “I love how the leaves look like fallen stars or confetti everywhere.” And Nathaniel looked glum and said, “I don’t, I have to rake them.”
